VineyardMade entirely from Clone 667, which are grown in areas with haire clay loam. This clone is later-ripening, resulting in berries that are slightly dehydrated leading to higher concentration. Tasting NotesPlum and black cherry mix with thyme and sage aromas. On the palate, loganberry is prominent among a blend of nutmeg and allspice notes all wrapped in a plush texture with a rich mid-palate--a signature of Carneros. Food and Wine PairingThe robust nature of this wine offers certain liberties with menu planning. Dishes with bolder sauces and flavors make for a good match. Consider roast duck with red-wine sauce, Cornish game hens or striped bass garnished with chorizo. |
