Toast points are an elegant and simple addition to serving cheese and pates at any gathering. Amazingly, they taste delicious even on their own!
This recipe makes 16 servings.
Baguette or good quality bread thin sliced
¼ cup extra virgin olive oil (cold press)
Fresh ground pepper
Preparation time: 15–20 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 350°F. Cut each slice of baguette ¼-inch thin and on a diagonal. If using pre-sliced bread, trim crusts off and cut each slice into quarters and on a diagonal. Place slices in a single layer on a baking sheet. Drizzle slices with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Bake for 10 minutes on one side, flip, and bake the other side for about 5 minutes.
Toast points are delicious served warm, but may also be served cool on a platter or in a bread basket.
