Chandon Sparkling Hurricane

Chandon Sparkling Hurricane

Parlez-vous Chandon French Quarter?
In the vibrant, jazz-filled avenues and alleys of New Orleans, they know a thing or two about escaping the summer heat with a refreshing cocktail. Even if you don’t call NOLA home, this Chandon twist on a classic New Orleans drink is still a crowd-pleaser.

Cocktail Recipe:
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add one ounce of 10 Cane Rum™, three ounces of orange juice, three ounces of pineapple juice and a splash of pomegranate syrup. Shake well. Strain into an ice-filled glass and top with Chandon Brut Classic. Garnish with home made drunken cherries and an orange slice.

Drunken Cherries Recipe:
1 pint Bing Cherries
1 cup 10 Cane Rum
2 tablespoons Dark Brown Sugar
1 Vanilla bean, split

Carefully remove the pits and stems from cherries. Combine Rum, brown sugar, and both halves of vanilla bean in a medium saucepan. On medium-low heat, dissolve brown sugar in Rum, while stirring constantly. Slowly add cherries to saucepan and simmer on low heat for 5-10 minutes to taste (No longer than 15 minutes). Let cool and store cherries and Rum syrup in a tightly sealed jar in refrigerator for up to 7 days.
