Planning an evening in this Valentine’s Day? Get the night started on an agreeably effervescent note with a Ruby Slipper, a sweetly tart little gem. At Chandon, we encourage employees to concoct creative sparkling cocktails, and this recipe comes to us from Assistant Visitor Center Manager, Chloe LaFortune. Thanks, Chloe!
Legend has it the Sidecar cocktail originated at the Parisian Ritz Hotel circa 1920s, named for an American Army captain stationed in Paris, who was fond of the drink and often arrived—you guessed it—via motorcycle sidecar. In Yountville, circa 2010, we’ve added our own sparkling flourishes to this timeless classic.
Throughout history, flowers in winter have always been a luxury. This sparkling cocktail, made with edible hibiscus petals, lends a note of extravagance to any party. Hibiscus has been used to make herb teas for thousands of years, and is safe to mix with foods and beverages. A drop of rose water adds an extra floral note.
This pink-hued cocktail is a throwback to Paris in the 1920s: a time of romance, creativity and unbridled celebration. But all the French you need to know to mix one is "Chandon Blanc de Noirs." You'll also need a bottle of modmix french martini. We're big fans of this ready-to-use mixer, which is fresh and delicious.
Pink cocktails for a Pink Party. What could be more fitting? This drink is so easy to make, you can serve one after another in seconds. Simply start with Stirrings Cosmopolitan cocktail mixer, add Chandon Rosé and you're done. A Champagne flute will help to preserve the bubbles in this cocktail. We prefer it to the V-shaped martini glass that is traditionally used for Cosmopolitans.
Chandon Rosé is just about the best cocktail mixer you could ask for — light, effervescent and packed with lush fruit flavors that enhance almost any ingredient you could wish to add. This cocktail recipe lends a dramatic color effect to the natural pink hue of the rosé. Vanilla Agave nectar offsets the tartness of the lime and orange juice, and adds an authentic "south of the border" flavor. The result: a refreshing summer cocktail you can drink 'til the sun comes up.
The golden days of summer are perfect for a cocktail made from our golden sparkling wine, Chandon Riche. Use only the freshest ingredients: cucumber and mint from your local farmer’s market, whole limes and oranges from a good produce store. One caveat: this drink goes down easy, so be prepared for guests demanding refills.
