Receptionist

Domaine Chandon is seeking a receptionist to be responsible to greet all visitors having business with Domaine Chandon and Newton Vineyard as well as promptly provide a courteous response to their inquiries and requests, answer all incoming calls in a friendly and professional manner and to route those calls to the appropriate party, being responsible for day-to-day operation of the administrative reception area and specific administrative support tasks for General Administration & HR.

Domaine Chandon's Receptionist will be responsible for:

General Reception: 40%

• As first impression of Domaine Chandon, provide superior customer service in receiving all DCC guests.

• Greet visitors, notify receiving party of arrival and accommodate visitors with appropriate hospitality.

• Answer all calls personally, unless on another line, during business hours of operation and route incoming calls for both Domaine Chandon and Newton Vineyard.

• Retrieve messages every morning that are left after business hours and route or follow up. • Maintain visitor's and business security processes.

General Administrative: 30%

• Responsible for organization and appearance of lobby, conference rooms and mailroom. • Ensure administrative area is well stocked with office supplies.

• In charge of mail distribution (incoming/outgoing)

• Coordinate maintenance of office equipment, including but not limited to the copy machines; fax machines; postage meter and coffee machine.

• Ensure logistic support for meetings

• Maintain a current Reception Procedure manual, to support temporary or others covering Reception.

• Ensure all cost expenditures do not exceed the G&A Budget, working in partnership with the HR Director.

HR Administrative: 30%

• Assist HR department by compiling new hire packets, orientation packets, etc. and other assigned tasks

• Assist HR department with all communication via email to all employees and Intranet Postings

• Responsible for weekly e-newsletter creation and distribution.

• Supports HRD and Safety Administrator with documentation, meetings, and communication regarding Safety Committee.

• Enroll and register employees for training, including setting up logistics as needed/requested. Maintain accurate training documentation to support HR team.

• Support HRD by preparing Expense Expert and PCard documentation for submission, on a timely basis.

 

Desired Skills and Experience

Education: High school diploma required, college degree preferred

Languages: English. Ability to speak Spanish a plus.

Professional experience & know how: Minimum of two yearsexperience in an office environment.

 

Technical & management skills:

• Knowledge of automated phone systems.

• E-mail (LOTUS)  proficiency.

• Intermediate skills in MicroSoft Office: Excel, Word, PPT

Personal & interpersonal skills :

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.

Production Operator

Bring your resume and come to meet hiring managers!Job Title: Production OperatorMaintain a superior quality of wines by performing a variety of routine bottling and cleaning procedures as well as special projects, such as hand labeling, special packaging and other non-standard packaging.Production: (80%)• Ensures the automatic loader (Champengal) is functioning correctly and bottles are loaded and proceeding through the line efficiently, must keep records of bins coming in with correct cuvee for the day. • Filler/Corker/Wire Hood/Tumbler/Washer/Foil Station: Responsible for stocking supplies and watching for low fills or abnormalities with the operation of each piece of equipment. Must check dosage; keep records of bottles used to fill filler or other bottles such as dumps and/or losses for the day. May be required to assist in dumping and washing of caps at the disgorger.• Labeler Station: Responsible for label changes and inspection of labels as they move through the line. Operator will manually fix labels on bottles as needed. Keep records of label counts and downtime on a daily basis. Ensure quality standards.• Case Erector/Packer/Case Sealer Station: Responsible for ensuring equipment is functioning correctly and manual placement of inserts into box. Verify cases are loaded with appropriate number of bottles as well as inspect for quality assurance, may add neckers or promotional material or close gift boxes as necessary. Verify all boxes have inserts, and must ensure erector is full at all times and glue sealer has plenty of glue.• Palletizer Station: Ensure equipment is properly functioning, shrink wrap pallets, tag pallets with appropriate paperwork and then forklift to the loading dock. Must lift cases when needed to fix machine in safe manner.• Glass Depalletizer Station: Responsible for cutting open pallets of shrunk wrapped glass and unload glass onto conveyor. At this station also responsible for keeping supplies stocked and may be required to hand pack. Must keep accurate count of glass coming in.Organizing: (10%)• Keep work area clean and organized.• Follow all safety procedures in operation of equipment and daily operations.• Works with other departments to help where needed which include but are not limited to: Maintenance, Cellar, Warehouse, Sanitation and Janitorial with flexible schedule changes as directed by Management.• Conduct inventory counting of dry goods, surlatte, surpoint and unfinished product during daily, monthly or quarterly inventories.QualificationsEducation: High school diploma or GED requiredLanguage: English requiredProfessional experience & know how:Minimum 3 years winery production experience. On Call Chandon Ambassador

Domaine Chandon is seeking a On Call Chandon Ambassador (start date: April 2015)

Reporting to the Visitor Center Manager, the Domaine Chandon Ambassador to communicate the uniqueness of Domaine Chandon and Newton Vineyard, through a consistent and impactful Brand message, while exhibiting excellence in customer service, in order to create a world-class experience for every guest.

The Domaine Chandon Ambassador will be responsible to:

Create a High-Quality Visitor Experience:  (60%)

• Represent our wines and Brand in a friendly, professional manner both at the winery and in the market.

• Perform wine service and tastings for all visitors including wine trade and VIP's, in a Brand-consistent manner.

• Facilitate scripted tour, adding consistent quality to delivery and accuracy of message.

• Safely escort tours through tour route, adjusting to the needs of the winery.

• Consistently discuss benefits of food with wine, up selling and recommending food purchase in the Salon as well as reservations at étoile restaurant.

• Suggest multiple-bottle purchases, in addition to adding-on merchandise to each sale.

• Convey all levels of club benefits to all visitors with clarity and sincerity.

• Meet monthly club acquisition goals, consistently striving to improve personal sign-up performance.

 

Efficient Service and Staff Support:  (40%)

• Operate point-of-sale system with accuracy in sales, shipping, and inventory management.

• Follow assigned Set up and Break down schedules in tasting rooms

• Re-stock wine, glassware and operational supplies as needed

• Maintain clean and well-stocked Tasting Room.

• Participate in set up and clean up of tours and tastings

• Stock wine and merchandise, daily. Keep accurate daily wine inventories, including breakage.

• Participate in monthly inventories

• Communicate with VC management and Promotions Coordinator weekly regarding supply and wine ordering

• Wash and dry glassware and food service utensils, according to health-code standards.

• Execute 100% accuracy cash reconciliation and deposit delivery to bank.

• Required to participate in a lead capacity at DCC events.

Qualifications:

Education :

• High School Diploma                               Languages :

• Fluent in English language, second language helpful in communication with visiting public.

Professional experience & know how: 

• At least 4 years experience in wine education / hospitality industry. 

• Public-speaking and facilitation to large groups. Communicate through active-listening skills and gather accurate insights to human behavior.  

Technical & management skills:

• Completes multiple tasks with accuracy and urgency.  Assesses situations quickly and responds with appropriate action, taking initiative to problem-solve, if necessary.  Able to process point-of-sale functions and comprehends mathematics to complete customer transactions.  Leads others, by example and makes decisions based on the need of the business.

Personal & interpersonal skills:

• Works efficiently and follows company standards, with or without immediate supervision. Possesses knowledge of principles and processes for providing exceptional visitor experiences. Possess understanding of wine marketing and sales. Continues to strive for excellence from own performance and remains self-motivated to improve results, both in selling and productivity.

Bring your resume and come to meet hiring managers!Domaine Chandon is seeking for a Cellar Worker II.The Cellar Worker II performs intermediate to advanced cellar operations with limited supervision in order to create premium wines.Cellar Processes: (90%)• With limited supervision, perform and direct routine operation of pumps and filters to rack, transfer, and clarify juice and wine.• Under limited supervision operate all complex cellar equipment, including: membrane and pad filters, heat exchanger, centrifuge, and DE Pressure Filter.• Responsible for sanitation in all areas of cellar operations including tanks and other equipment.• Able to follow and complete work order instructions in detail.• Perform all barrel procedures including receiving, prepping, filling, topping, cleaning/sanitation, and inventory.• Gauge bulk inventory and transfer information to the work order.• Measure, weigh and add chemical additions to wine.• Collect wine samples for tasting or lab analysis.• Set both manual and automatic tank temperature control.• Conduct routine inventory counts of dry goods and wine.• Safely operate forklift and handcarts.• Operate presses and crushers.• Handle shipping and receiving of wine tankers and grape deliveries.• Maintain yeast and malo-lactic cultures to ensure viability.• Perform equipment maintenance such as hose repair.Team Support: (10%)• General support for laboratory.• Support for Operations department as needed.• Train and direct less skilled workers.• Review completed work orders for accuracy.Qualifications:Education : High school diploma or GED required.
