Seasonal Maintenance Mechanic

Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic (Seasonal)The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for production and facility maintenance including production equipment operation, general building maintenance and repair for Domaine Chandon and Newton Vineyard in accordance with the preventive maintenance, aesthetics and safety programs. Main ResponsibilitiesProduction and Facility Maintenance: - Responsible for disassembling machinery and equipment to remove parts and make repairs; conducts testing on repaired machinery to verify adequacy of repairs.- Provide harvest support with machinery repairs- Conduct plumbing, lighting and electrical repairs as needed.- Perform general building maintenance such as painting and basic repairs.- Responsible for testing and maintaining process wastewater and fresh water systems.- Support on special projects, such as VLM upgrades, etc.- Provide harvest support with machinery repairsProfileEducation: High School or GED required. Seasonal Retail Ambassador

Domaine Chandon is seeking a Seasonal Retail Ambassador.

To communicate the uniqueness of Domaine Chandon and Newton Vineyard through a consistent Brand message.  Providing the best customer service, working as a team and representing the brand to the highest standard.  Adhering to the Domaine Chandon Vision Statement for the Retail Department and leading the Retail Department in achieving sales and wine club goals. 

 

Ensuring a high quality guest experience (60%)

Acting as Concierge to guests upon entry to the Visitor Center. Establishing all guest needs and, when appropriate, encouraging and suggesting Tour & Tastings  Assist Wine Club Members with wine club member benefits as well as guide all trade and tour groups to their assigned visitor center associate and location. Demonstrating behavior consistent with Domaine Chandon’s established codes of conduct Maintain Domaine Chandon’s standard of providing World Class Customer service to our guests and fellow co-workers Representing Domaine Chandon’s wines and brand in a friendly, professional manner Communicate guests  needs, concerns and successes to the Visitor Center Senior Chandon Ambassadors, Assistant VC Managers and VC Manager Developing ongoing relationships with guests to stimulate repeat visits and future sales Delivering and maintaining accurate information such as time, pricing, and group tour policies as stated in tour contracts to guests in a timely manner Utilize established affiliates of Domaine Chandon to increase guest visitation and experiences Participate in training and mentorship of all new staff in world class customer service standards & all other responsibilities, as requested by management.  

.Retail Support:  (40%)

Assist Retail Team with organizing and maintaining Retail floor according to “specs” as well as seasonal “resets.” Forward all customer concerns and complaints to VC Assistant Managers . Providing accurate inventory of VC and Wine Club collateral and communicating any Retail needs to VC Assistant Manager Supporting the Retail Team in the acquisition of VC monthly financial goals Meeting monthly VC Club Chandon acquisition goals, and striving to improve personal sign-up performance Participating in the setup, execution, and/or breakdown of events at DCC Assisting Visitor Center Leads and Assistant Managers with monthly inventory

Forward shipping order queries from Guests and Retail Team to Senior Chandon Ambassador and  VC Assistant Manager

Education :    High School Diploma             

Languages :     Fluent in English language, second language helpful in communication with visiting public, but not required.

Professional experience & know how:      A minimum of 2 years experience in concierge / hospitality industry. Ability to communicate to visiting public and facilitate the needs of groups.  Communicating through active-listening skills and then following through with appropriate response.

Technical & management skills:      Completing multiple tasks with accuracy and urgency. High organizational skills combined with the ability to prioritize tasks and responsibilities. Assessing situations quickly and responding with appropriate action, taking initiative to problem-solve, if necessary.  Ability to execute computer functions and comprehend programs and/or software to complete transactions to efficiently expedite visitor “waiting time”.  Leading others by example and making decisions based on the need of the business.

Personal & interpersonal skills:      Working in an efficient and organized manner. Following company standards, with or without immediate supervision.  Possessing knowledge of principles and processes for providing exceptional visitor experiences.  Continuing always to strive for excellence from own performance and remaining self-motivated to improve results, both in selling and personal productivity.

Newton Harvest Coordinator

Newton Vineyard is seeking for a Seasonal Harvest Coordinator.

Main responsibilities: assist the Winemaking team in performing and coordinating grape arrival, juice processing to fermentation stages for the harvest season.

Qualifications and experience required:

Education: High school diploma or GED required.       

Bachelor degree in Food Science and / or Enology preferred or 4 to 6 years equivalent experience required,           

Languages:  English required

 Professional experience & know how:

Minimum 1 year winery cellar experience.Knowledge or ability to learn safe cellar practices, including safe handling of chemicalsKnowledge of winery cellar operating proceduresAbility to be trained in confined space entry process and proceduresComputer skills including Word processing, Data base and spreadsheet. 

Technical & management skills:

Knowledge of cellar operations and specific activities of cellar functionsSkill in project management and/or logisticsSkill in mathematics wine additions based on formulasSkill in lab analysis and reading lab results
